ANT-1040 Spinning DF Antenna

Overview

Our versatile, high-performance airborne DF Antenna covers the 0.5 to 40 GHz frequency range and provides high gain and narrow beamwidth coverage for direction finding and signal isolation. The antenna modes of operation include point, sector scan and continuous spin mode, with spin rates from 0 to 200 RPM.

The antennas in the spinning DF segment include a Log periodic antenna covering the 0.5 to 2 GHz band, a 2 to 18 GHz parabolic antenna with Log periodic feed and an 18 to 40 GHz horn antenna. All three antennas are 45 degree slant linear polarized to provide the best overall characteristics for vertical and horizontally polarized signals. The antenna has RF bandpass filtering and RF limiters to protect low noise amplifiers. The three RF outputs are combined using a multiplexer so that the full 0.5 to 40 GHz RF band is provided at the output of the rotary joint.
